Jackdaw Review is an online literary journal that seeks to publish poetry by emerging and established writers. We currently publish a quarterly review, and will be adding a monthly Haiku Review.
We are looking for poems that:
possess a unique brilliance, whether through striking imagery, innovative language, or profound insight.
linger in the reader's mind, evoking deep emotions and offering fresh perspectives.
demonstrate a mastery of language and form, showcasing careful attention to detail and a dedication to the art of verse.
explore a diverse range of themes and subjects, from the intimate to the universal, the quiet to the bold.
Submission Guidelines:
Before submitting, please review our inaugural issue to understand our style and preferences. The flipbook is available through the link below.
Please submit 3-5 poems in a single document.
Each poem should be no longer than one page.
Format your submission in 12pt Times New Roman font.
All submissions must be made through Duosoma.
We charge a fee of $3 per submission to support operating costs. Fee waivers are available for those experiencing financial hardship.
