Anna DiMartino

Anna is a writer, artist, and creative writing teacher. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing: Poetry from Pacific University and a BA in Art from UC Santa Cruz. Her work has appeared in Lake Effect, Atlanta Review, Slipstream, Whale Road Review, Book of Matches, The Dewdrop, and other literary journals.

Anna started Jackdaw Press/Jackdaw Review with the desire to bring more poetry into the world. She believes that poetry is a refuge for many, and has found that poetry got her through some of the hardest times in her life. She believes that poetry can heal a person’s soul and hopes to share brilliant poetry with a wide body of readers.
